Fertility Massage
What is Fertility Massage?
Fertility Massage is a way to help prepare the body and mind for the best possible chances for conception and pregnancy. Difficulty conceiving can be stressful, painful, and take a toll on the body, mind, and everything else. This special form of massage can help calm the mind, make you more aware of your body, and help you overall to attain your goal of having a child.
Who Can Have Fertility Massage?
Anyone who wants to have a child can receive Fertility Massage. If you have been having difficulty conceiving, had past issues, or even if you are healthy and planning your first or next child, Fertility Massage can help increase your chances of a successful conception and healthy pregnancy.
Even if you are using Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) such as IVF, IUI, etc, you can still receive Fertility Massage to supplement and work with your treatments for optimal results.
Medical difficulties such as endometriosis, low estrogen levels, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and more can make conception difficult, but the methods used is this unique form of massage may help.
Is Fertility Massage Just For Women?
It takes two people to make a baby, so the burden isn't solely on the woman. Men can also receive Fertility Massage Treatments. Now before anyone freaks out - There is NO massage associated with the genital area, for either men or women; the massages themselves are basically the same for both genders. There is no massage on this area and it remains covered with a sheet at all times. The reflexology portion of this massage treatment is one of the ways that can help men with their own conception difficulties such as low testosterone, low motility, and acidity. As beneficial as massage can be for women, the massage treatments can be just as beneficial for the men to prepare themselves for their part in the conception process.
What can I expect in a Fertility Massage Session?
The first thing we do in a Fertility Massage Session is talk. Before any massage is started, we will talk as long as needed for you to express your expectations, concerns, what you have gone through so far, - anything you want or feel like you want or need to express. The state of your mind and emotions is just as important as your physical state, and this emotional aspect is often overlooked by many medical professionals who are focused on treating your "body". We will also talk about things such as diet, lifestyle, and other things that may help you prepare for conception. This is one of the many ways that this massage help supplement your conception plans and approach.
The massage itself will make use of a castor oil pack to help detox the body and cleanse the system and abdomen, remove congestion and adhesions, and anything else that may complicate the system working fully. Cranial Sacral work, as well as Jaw and TMJ release, Reflexology, Acupressure, and specially selected Essential Oils are all integrated into each calming and relaxing Fertility Massage Session.
*Please remember that these massage sessions are not intended to replace any other traditional healthcare that you are receiving.*
How often should I receive Fertility Massage?
It is recommended that you allow yourself at least 3 months to properly prepare your body for the best chances before attempting to conceive. Massage during these 3 months is a great addition to your preparations. Even if you have been trying for longer or less time, the massage can still be beneficial wherever you are in your conception attempt timeline. Ideally, massage at least once or twice a month until pregnancy is achieved would be most recommended, but frequency can be discussed on an individual basis.
Your first session will last approximately 2 hours and will help you familiarize yourself with the process, allow for talking, and do the actual massage. Subsequent sessions will last about 1 1/2 hours and include the same things as your initial appointment, but less of a need for explanations, etc. As your treatments continue, the massage will be adapted depending on different points in the woman's cycle, how long the sessions have been going on, doctor's orders, hormone treatments, etc. We can work as many or as few times as you feel is needed, and this determination is one of the things that we discuss at the beginning of each session. We will welcome the opportunity to work in conjunction and in communication with your doctor if you choose.
How Much Does It Cost?
The first appointment will last approximately 2 hours and will cost $165. Subsequent appointments will be about 1 1/2 hours and be $125. While this is a difference from a regular massage, the differences in times and prices are due to the very different factors, products, and overall process involved with this massage versus a regular massage.
